Dr. Gihad Ibrahim
Address: Mashreq University, Khartoum North, Sudan
Gihad Ibrahim received a first class B.Eng. (Hons) in Mechatronics from the School of Engineering, University of Wolverhampton, UK in 2008 and a Ph.D. from the Department of Engineering, University of Leicester, UK in 2015. His research efforts aim towards multiphysics modelling of complex biological systems. As part of his PhD, he developed an integrated computational framework for dynamic subject-specific modelling of the pulmonary flow in rats using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and low-resolution computed tomography (CT). The outcome of this computational framework is expected to move the CFD-based investigation of lung functions to the next stage. Dr Ibrahim is a member of the Institute of Physicist and Engineering In Medicine (IPEM) and an associate member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering (IMechE). He is a quick learner and a self-motivated researcher .He has demonstrated the ability to solve a variety of analytical, technical, and practical problems using creative and innovative approaches.
